oído derecho: Santiago Barragán aka Fake City Quiet Pills

Spanish-Peruvian sound artist noted for his experimental exploration of romance, complex interpersonal relationships, illness, migration and the absurd.

At the start of his career, he was known for his use of noise music across different genres such as pop music, neoperreo, funk carioca, among other electronic sounds.

His project began in Lisbon in 2023 with funk carioca and noise bootleg remixes of Arca, AMORE + Rosalía, among other artists.

In 2024 he founded alongside multidisciplinary artist P0brediabla in Berlin a sound collective called Fragile Façades, which explores emotional landscapes and sacredness through invited experimental underground artists in night events across Europe.

In 2025 he joined LA-based Neoperreo and organizes EU/UK events for the label.

Creator of a radio show called ‘Desperate Prayers’ – it ran for 12 months at 90mil Radio in Berlin during 2024-2025 and it was featured on other radios such as NTS.live, IDA and Ola Radio.

He recently debuted an opinion piece for a magazine called The Jungle, published by Berlin-based Studio Saudari in 2025. This print issue delves into The Socio-Political, The Pitfalls of Neoliberalism, Circus State, Environmental Collapse, Heterotopias & Growth ~ Decay.

He’s also worked on film as Audio & ADR Mixer, Composer and Sound Designer.

He studied a BA in Sound Arts and Performance at the University of the Arts London and BIMM London.

Half of my family comes from Extremadura, a remote area in Spain that greatly contributed to flamenco and is considered w/ Andalucía as one of the regions where Flamenco originated. I've mixed several of its subgenres with a soft touch of my own sound research + practice, grounded in noise and ambient.

El sábado 15 de marzo de 2025, a las 19:00 horas, CRUCE presenta el evento colectivo La Llave, con una nueva propuesta donde se explorará la sombra, tanto del individuo como del colectivo, a través de la performance y el DJ live.

"De paso" explora los sonidos de la intimidad de una habitación en contraste con el mundo exterior, hasta que la otredad integra y ocupa todo el espacio.
La performance indaga cómo nuestros hogares reverberan las vidas de los que viven a nuestro alrededor, viviendo, en cierto modo, con nosotros.
Paulatinamente, el espacio íntimo de la habitación se transforma en la propia ciudad.
